KSO has three official symbols: the flag, coat of arms and sash. The heraldic colours are white, red and black.
Beside the heraldic colours, the KSO flag has a boat motif on it. The same motif can be found on the coat of arms as well.
The Board awards sashes to KSO members, noteworthy friends of the student nation, and promoters of Central Finland. All KSO members get their sashes, but they are only given out once a year during the sash ceremony. Visitors from our foreign friendship organizations receive sashes during the Anniversary Dinner. Members of Finnish collaborative organizations may receive sashes with a permission from the Board.
